Membership Monday: HJWC Executive Board's Nominating Chair and Secretary

Happy Monday! We are excited to introduce you to HJWC’s 2019-2020 Nominating Chair, Kristin Maggio and Secretary/Reporting Chair, Michelle Riley. Both are Hinsdale residents who enjoy giving back to their communities and exploring the best of what our community has to offer

Q. How long have you been in the club?

Kristin Maggio: I joined the club in Fall of 2013 and was initiated in January 2014.

Michelle Riley: I joined the club in fall of 2016 and was initiated in January 2017.

Q. What is your favorite thing about the club?

KM: I have enjoyed meeting lots of new friends and families in the area. I really enjoy the philanthropic aspect of HJWC. Giving back to the community you live in has always been something that my parents did and it is just a way of life for me.

MR: Through the club I have been exposed to so many great local nonprofits, that I don’t know that I would have been exposed to otherwise. And have loved being able to have more of a connection to the Hinsdale community.

Q. What do you do in your spare time? :)

KM: When I am not at work, or running around with my four kids, I enjoy reading, going for walks and cooking.

MR: Similar to Kristin, when I am not at work or running to kids sporting events, I love to travel (and am always planning the next trip) and workout to keep my sanity.

Q. What is your favorite thing about the Western suburbs?

KM: I love the close community. You always see a friendly face in Starbucks, walking in town or out to dinner.

MR: The supportive and friendly community and proximity to the city.

L: Michelle Riley; R: Kristin Maggio
