HJWC Scholarship Application

Thank you for your interest in The Hinsdale Junior Woman’s Club Educational Scholarship Program.
Founded in 1949, The Hinsdale Junior Woman’s Club (HJWC) is proud to celebrate 76 years of service and philanthropy. Our members are dedicated community leaders who have earned recognition for their volunteerism and charitable work throughout the years.

Each year, HJWC awards current-use college scholarships to deserving female high school seniors who demonstrate a strong commitment to community service and philanthropy.

These scholarships are funded through events like our Fore Her Future Golf Outing and reflect our mission to support and uplift the next generation of community-minded women leaders. The number of scholarships is determined during each club year and we encourage applicants who exhibit outstanding leadership and passion for service to apply. Scholarship applications open on November 15 each year and close on February 15.

The deadline to apply is Sunday, February 15th at 10 PM CST. All application materials must be uploaded by this deadline.

To avoid losing your progress, it's strongly recommended to draft and save your application responses in a separate document for reference and to copy/paste your answers when you’re ready to submit.

To be eligible to apply, applicants must:

  • Be a female high school senior; and

  • Must reside in Illinois, and in one of the following Chicagoland counties: Cook, DuPage, Kane, and Will Counties

If you are unsure of your eligibility or have questions regarding our scholarship program,  please contact HJWC’s Education Committee at education@hjwc.us.
